Accessibility

johnkurtzhomes.com is built to be usable by everyone. We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and treat accessibility as a baseline feature, not an afterthought.

What we’ve built in

  • Full keyboard navigation — every interactive control reachable without a mouse.
  • Visible :focus-visible outlines on every focusable element.
  • Color contrast tested against WCAG AA thresholds for body and large text.
  • prefers-reduced-motion respected — animations and carousels degrade gracefully when the OS preference is set.
  • Form fields with associated labels; errors announced via accessible toasts.
  • Meaningful alt text on photography and decorative empty alt where appropriate.

Areas we’re still improving

Listing photography is provided by third-party photographers and may occasionally lack descriptive alt text on first publish. We backfill these as part of our weekly editing pass. If you encounter one that hasn’t been updated yet, please let us know.

Reporting a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use with assistive technology, with the keyboard, or with reduced motion enabled — please tell us. We respond within one business day.

When you reach out, please share the page URL and a brief description of what didn’t work — that gives us the fastest path to a fix.
