Storied boulevards beneath century-old oaks — the heart of Charlotte's old-guard address.
SouthPark is the modern counterpoint to Myers Park — newer construction, larger-scale homes, and a commercial core (the SouthPark mall and the Sharon Road corridor) that functions as Charlotte's second downtown. You can walk from many SouthPark homes to a Michelin-rated restaurant, a luxury retailer, and a gym with a pool — an unusual convenience in a Southern neighborhood of this scale.
The housing stock here is varied. Older homes from the 1960s sit next to ground-up new construction priced in the multi-millions. Transitional, modern, and French Provincial styles dominate the newer inventory. Lots are generous but not estate-scale. The streets off Sharon Road — Barclay Downs, Morrocroft, Sharon Hills — have distinct characters and different price ceilings.
This is the right neighborhood for buyers who want luxury without the patina — new kitchens, new systems, and floorplans designed for the way people actually live now (open kitchens, primary on the main, two-story great rooms). It's also the neighborhood with the most liquidity: SouthPark homes trade faster and in larger volumes than any other premium address in Charlotte.
